No heating in the bathroom

My uncle used to have an A-frame home up in the mountains.  I remember watching he and my dad build that house. They started from the ground up and the walls beams were in place, and then they added the roof.  We love standing up on landing that led to the only bedroom in the house. I fantasized about living in that house someday, but it never came true. They had this huge fireplace as the focal point in the living room.  The living room took up ninety percent of the downstairs, and the rest was the kitchen. The fireplace heating the entire house, and it was always pleasant inside. They had a small air vent that went to the upstairs, to heat the bedroom.  I marvelled at where they were going to put the bathroom, and my dad said it was outside. I knew all about outhouses, because my grandmother had an outhouse until I was about ten years old. I hated needing to go down into the backyard when it was dark, and even more so when it was cold outside.  I often wished they had put a heater out there. I wished there was electricity and then I could take an electric space heater with me, and more importantly, I could have light. I had light if that is what you call a flashlight. I’m glad we don’t need to use an outhouse anymore. I really like knowing that there is heating in our indoor bathroom, and we never have to freeze again.  Did I say that I would never use the outhouse at the A-frame house.
