Living in the south, a whole-home cooling plan is absolutely necessary. There’s no way to manage the heat with portable fans or window a/cs. We deal with temperature in the triple digits, and I properly rely on the a/c for multipleweeks out of the year. I spend a small fortune on my electric bills. There’s rarely an opportunity to open the windows and like some fresh air. Despite investing in a powerful, state-of-the-art central cooling system, my home occasionally still felt clammy. I’d lower the thermostat until the home was downright chilly, and I’d still notice condensation running down the window panes. It’d find it difficult to get comfortable and fall asleep at night. There were issues with mold and mildew growth, which aggravated my flu symptom symptoms. I finally complained to a local Heating, Ventilation, and A/C business, who requested that I invest a dehumidifier. He handled the installation, and it took certainly little time. The cost was reasonable and the dehumidifier has paid for itself. A permanently installed, whole home dehumidification plan extracts excess moisture from the air. It allows me to customize the setting to personal preference. Because of the dehumidifier, the home is way more comfortable and yet the a/c isn’t working as hard. I’ve been able to raise the thermostat setting. I expect the a/c to last far longer and require fewer repairs. I’m enjoying superior air quality, and I’m paying far less in energy costs.
